During the retreat we will dive deeper into the practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Your day starts with the practice of the modified primary series, followed by intense relaxation. We go through the Ashtanga foundations throughout the week, with two yoga classes and workshops daily. In the afternoon we practice relaxing yin yoga or explore the practice through workshops.
Relax by our swimming pool or read a book in a hammock in the garden. Enjoy and explore the beautiful beaches and the amazing nature surrounding the yoga villa. Every day you will be treated to delicious organic vegetarian meals created in Wolfs’ Kitchen!

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is one of the most dynamic flowing forms of yoga, designed to harmonise and connect body, mind and spirit. Vinyasa is key to the ashtanga system : the breath is synchronized with movement and linking one posture to the another. The practice is based on the eight (ashta) -limb (-anga) Path, as described in the ancient texts of the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali.
We will practice the modified primary series of the ashtanga yoga tradition, as taught by Sri K Pattabhi Jois. We will focus on vinyasa, asana (posture), pranayama (breath), drishti (gazing points) and bandha’s (locks) – the tools that turn practice into a moving meditation.The practice purifies and strengthens the body. Expect a dynamic practice, breathwork and meditation.
Yin Yoga is deeply stimulating and very relaxing for body and mind. We practice relaxing long held ground postures to stimulate and balance the flow of energy in the connective tissues of the body. We learn to embrace the present moment and be in peace with ourselves.
The beautiful villa makes you feel home away from home. The spacious house is surrounded by a lush green garden and fruit trees. The Yoga area is in the middle of in the garden and after the yoga practice, you can have breakfast on the sunny terrace. There are 5 guest rooms, a large living room and a big kitchen. Walk out of the backyard and you walk right into the National park! We are located in Coastal National Park ‘Costa Vicentina’, just outside the picturesque fisherman village Vila do Bispo, 3 km hike from unspoiled beaches and close to Sagres and Lagos.

It’s stunning beaches are ideal for sunbathing, swimming or to go for a walk along it’s clear ocean waters. At the retreat there are possibilities for additional activities and trips around the area!

It’s easy to get to the Wolfs Yoga Villa. You fly to Faro International Airport (FAO) and from there you can get a shuttle transfer to Vila do Bispo, which will only take about 90 minutes.
We love cooking healthy, nutritious organic meals. We create delicious (mostly) vegan dishes, using fresh local products to help you feel healthy and balanced during your stay. The colourful, delicious and organic recipes are created by the Wolfs Kitchen family.
We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner or brunch, dinner and snacks depending on the time of the year. Healthy herbal teas, filtered water and fresh fruit are available all day.
