A Yoga Retreat and Surfing
Most “surf and yoga retreats” are actual surf holidays, with an hour of yoga here and there to stretch. This is a whole different mindset then a yoga retreat. In our yoga retreat we actually focus on retreating, disconnect from the web of doing, and review on our busy lives and habits. An environment with tools to find back your true relaxed self. We organise a one week long yoga holiday, surrounded by a National Park, with two to three yoga classes and workshops daily. With enough free time to add classes to learn the art of surfing.
With surfing we enjoy the element of water. We are focused on riding those waves which gives us a great feeling when that moment happens. Surrounding oneself with such an element we get forced to be in the moment, the “here and now”. In a many activities this can be found, and often described as addicting. In this moment, thinking and thoughts of past and future are of non importance, as we are ecstatic. The discipline surrounding that moment of surfing is like yoga. It shows more clearly or confronting, our patterns of thought, habits and emotion that we usually surround ourselves with. Once we recognise these, we learn to cultivate ourselves and make positive shifts in our being.
During this yoga retreat, we’ll move through daily dynamic yoga flows that are balanced by deep relaxation. We’ll dive deeper into the foundations of yoga and meditation throughout the week. All levels are welcome, no experience is required.
The surf classes are additional to the retreat and can be organised upon arrival.
